This is why you buy Xtend soybeans. Killing 3' tall resistant waterhemp is no problem. Giant ragweed tip over before you leave the field. The Xtend program when followed is extremely safe and effective. Liberty Link or GT27 trait packages can not match the killing power and residual that come from dicamba.

Another 3.25" last night with a lot of wind. Can't change it so might as well have a laugh. My cousin Ryan Olson sent me this link.
Channel 194-49 left and 197-90 right. I was able to find the ear and count rows. 94 had 20-18 rows while 97 had 18 consistently. Girth is determined at V5-V6 making early growth and plant health very important. I recommend checking fields that looked rough early in the season. I expect many fields lost a couple potential rows of kernals because of our stellar spring weather.
Soybeans have moved into the R1 growth stage creating an opportuntity. I believe the 2nd herbicide pass on any crop is an opportunity to get added nutrition and fungicide on. With warm wet conditions foliar disease will be a big issue. There are many great products available. My foliar fertilizer of choice is Versa Max AC with Boron Plus. Boron is highly water soluble and early applied boron may be lost. Adding additional Boron is a must for high yielding crops. Call me with any questions or for pricing.
Today I did the 2nd pass on some soybeans. The amazing part was how clean the fields are. The April burndown and pre of Verdict, Buc. 5 Extra, and Dual did an AMAZING job. Every no-till acre should have a Pre and burndown. Worth every penny.
