197-66/68 delivers again for the 3rd year in a row. New 199-72 has proven it can yield with the top performers. This product was in plots only and will be available for sale this fall. With any new hybrid it takes time to figure out what it does well. 199-72STX has best in class emergence and early vigor. Coupled with its great plant health and ear flex should make it the #1 corn on corn product in the Channel lineup. 92 day 192-08VT2P/09VT3P is also having a banner year. Huge yields, dry grain, and consistency year after year!

Channel 192-08/09 showing strong yields in the Taylor area again. New 195-18 proved its top end yield potential winning against a stout lineup. Thanks for helping with the plot Dad!
I recorded this a couple weeks ago at the start of harvest.
Please note the consistent yield of the NEW RR2 Xtend soybeans. All 3 varieties performed very well against our existing RR2 lineup. This field also had very heavy white mold pressure testing the defensive packages. 1709R2 is a great yielding product but should be kept away from fields with a history of white mold issues. Thanks Mark and Sue for your cooperation!
Very good results from this very sandy field. 202-52 and 201-00 seemed to adapt to the soil type and handled the abundance of heat units this field accumulates. To put this into perspective, the next highest yield check on this field was in the late 2000's with 174 bpa. Thanks Dan for your cooperation with the plot. I can't wait to see the results from the main plot on top notch soil, should be impressive.
Channel 201-00VT2P DroughtGard corn being harvested near Sparta. Moisture test was 16.9%. Corn moisture is dropping very quickly in our area. Harvesting corn early is a good way to hedge against stalk lodging and harvest loss.
I had a blast today representing Channel at the World Dairy Expo. Growing up I showed Ayrshires from my grandpa Bob's nearly all Ayrshire herd. I still believe they are the most beautiful breed of dairy animal.
