These early Channel 1508R2's should be ready to harvest later next week. This field is standing well and should be very easy to cut. Many fields I have scouted are lodged badly. I'm hoping the beans will stand up a little after the leaves drop. If they do not proper header settings will be key. Running the reel farther forward and low will help cut cleaner. Harvesting as close to 13% moisture as possible will help reduce field losses if you have to get aggressive with reel speed. Making passes across the field at an angle instead of following the rows can also help in down beans.
